About the Position
Narromine Shire Council is currently seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual for the position of Procurement Officer - Trainee.
This position is funded under the NSW Governments 'Fresh Start for Local Government Apprentices, Trainees, and Cadets Program'.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo a structured traineeship program, gaining valuable qualifications in procurement and contract management fields.
To be successful in this position you will need to have:
Willingness and capacity to undertake studies to Cert IV level.
Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
It would be desirable for you to have:
Completed the HSC Class 'C' drivers' licence – including CP1 / 2 General Construction Induction (CIC – White Card) NSW The details relating to this position are:
The position is graded Operational Band 1 / T7 to T10 as per Local Government State Award.
The salary range is $1042 to $1194 per week plus superannuation.
The salary step is determined by an annual competency assessment.
35 hour working week applies.
Employment conditions are as per the Local Government (State) Award.

Pre-employment Screening

Any other additional screening that may be relevant to the role.
