Executive Support And Research Officer

About the role As Executive Support and Research Officer you will be responsible for providing high-level support to the General Manager (Corporate Services) to ensure the effective functioning of the Corporate Services Department.
Your focus will be on overseeing executive administration and departmental office operations.
Some of your key responsibilities will include : Deliver confidential executive administrative support to senior managers prioritising workflow, coordinating appointments and daily activitiesLead the Corporate Services administration support function, providing professional guidance, development and mentoring to drive continuous improvement and consistency across the departmentManage, quality control, and prepare documents such as meeting agendas, briefing notes, committee reports, and correspondenceCollaborate with the Office of the Mayor, Councillor Support, Office of the CEO, and other executive support teams to optimise the exchange of information ensuring quality communication and a consistent approach across CouncilView the position description for more details about the role.
About you
To be successful in this role it is desirable to have : Tertiary qualifications in business administration / management or similar disciplineExtensive administration experience, ideally in government or local governmentCurrent Queensland C Class Driver's LicenceBelief in our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadershipAbout the benefits This is a permanent full-time position with a salary commencing at $93,169 plus 12.5% superannuation.
