Property Risk Analyst

The Role Reporting to the Credit Manager, the Property Risk Analyst is responsible for supporting AltX Group's property research and loan writing capability.
This involves thinking outside the square, problem-solving, and probing to find relevant information while researching, analysing, and providing succinct information to the Credit Committee.
Key Accountabilities Researching property values using tools such as RP Data, Cordells, Google Earth, NearMap and RealEstate.com to gain insights in relation to properties.
Reviewing and critically analysing external valuation reports.
Developing and growing a strong network of contacts within the Real Estate industry nationally to ensure strong relationships to gain the required information.
Contacting Real Estates to gain knowledge of recent sales, property values and neighbouring sales to get a full understanding of current valuations and trends.
Discussing findings with the Directors and substantiating your views.
Writing succinct reports on information gathered about each property to present to the Directors.
Writing Loan Submissions to present to the Credit Committee and Investor Submissions for Investors.
Performing additional duties including general admin – "no job is too big or too small." You'll Know You're Successful in this role You're recognised by the business as having excellent knowledge of the Australian property market.
You're able to communicate your knowledge (both written and orally) in a way that adds value to AltX Group's decisioning processes.
Your reports are well researched, well written and include a helpful level of data and analysis.
Key Skills, Experiences and Attributes A valuer qualification is required as is a background in the Property or Finance Sectors.
A passion/interest in the property sector.
A self-starter with a high degree of curiosity.
Confidence to pick up the phone and reach out to the market to gather information every day.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of Real Estate Agents and other external stakeholders.
Strong report-writing skills with the ability to form conclusions based on imperfect information.
The ability to adopt a measured approach to property assessment.
Proficiency in Salesforce and the Microsoft suite of products.
Excellent time management skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
