And none of us here would have it any other way.Let's talk about the roleWithin the newly formed Customer Experience group – Joining the Hardware Experience team, the role of Manager – Packaging Experience will support our mission to change lives and transform how we deliver our products to the people we serve. The role will lead & nurture a diverse, collaborative & hardworking team of Designers, Engineers & Creatives focused on delivering a Packaging Experience that supports our best-in-class Product & Experience.With a global reach & wide network of suppliers, this role will bring opportunities for continual learning & development whilst helping to define our strategy, enabling tech and process to achieve our vision & sustainability response.ResponsibilitiesPRODUCT TEAM INFLUENCELead the research, design, testing and production-implementation of new product packaging.Proactively lead the tracking of industry trends, technologies, materials & developments with a strong focus on Sustainable Packaging solutions.Ensure our work complies with the ResMed quality systems & standards and develop requirements pertaining to packaging.Ensure the team works to regulatory requirements such as the FDA & MDR.Nurture & develop talent & team to build packaging capability for ResMed.ORGANISATIONAL INFLUENCEProvide packaging design & development leadership, consultation and strategy to management; leveraging insight, experience and knowledge.Make significant contributions to organizational objectives directly affecting the Customer Experience for products.Ensure we design for positive impact on ResMed's sustainability targets, including but not limited to Product Carbon Impact, Product & Packaging Recycling, and global freight & logistics – both sea & air.Elevate Packaging Experience within the business - guiding and mentoring others to ensure a unified approach and methodology.MARKET INFLUENCEWork to the aspiration that ResMed's Packaging Portfolio comes to be recognized as industry best practice.Supporting ResMed's Product & Experience Vision.Set new industry standards for holistic Customer Experience & Sustainability in Packaging.Let's talk about you:To excel as Manager – Packaging Experience, you will need to be a strong communicator with a logical and methodical approach to problem solving and proven ability in understanding complex requirements from a diverse customer base. The skills of a great Manager – Packaging Experience should also include:Customer-first mindsetDeep understanding of our customers' experiences & the role which Packaging plays, with the passion to continuously evolve and influence the way we design & develop Packaging to support a step-change in how a customer interacts with & perceives our Product.Strategic & visionary thinkingDevelop and execute a Packaging Solutions Portfolio that is strategically aligned with the company's global business objectives, whilst appreciating cultural nuances, preferences, and behaviours in different regions. Curiosity & growth mindset is key.Inspirational LeadershipAble to inspire teams through deeply considered vision that empowers individuals and teams, igniting enthusiasm, fostering collaboration, driving to exceptional results.Technical ProficiencyStrong understanding of Packaging design & development principles, materials & processes. Ability to nurture & coach these capabilities and keep abreast of emerging trends in design, research & technology to drive best-in-class teams.Ability to InfluenceInfluence the organization to drive customer-centric & sustainable Packaging – focused on design excellence to elevate the perception, impact & performance of our packaging portfolio across ResMed, its customers & industry.To get us really excited, you will have the above attributes and the following qualifications and experience:Experience in new product or packaging development and volume manufacturing environment.Manufacturing process & materials knowledge for diverse types of packaging solutions.Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Design for Assembly (DFA).Working within a strict quality system and regulatory environment.Experience or readiness to lead & develop a team.Degree or Tertiary Qualification in Packaging Engineering or Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.Demonstrated capability and experience in packaging or product design & engineering.Experience in design for global freight & logistics – both sea & air - is highly desirable.Ready to make a global impact?
