The division innovates with communications approaches to support organisational, cultural and behavioural change.About the OpportunityThe Communications and Events Manager works across all levels and areas of the Department to lead and deliver internal communications strategies.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills and experience providing strategic advice to senior executives is critical for success.
The role leads a dynamic team to deliver a range of communications activities, including all staff events, senior leadership forums, executive messaging, and internal collateral.
The Manager is responsible for ensuring key messages and internal campaigns align to the Department's strategic direction and cultural values, while also resonating with employees.About YouExperience managing an internal communications function within a diverse organisation or department.Experience delivering internal communications strategies to achieve planned outcomes.Experience providing leadership and advice to internal stakeholders on communications matters.Highly developed communications skills, including presentation skills and ability to write for a range of audiences and media.Experience managing a team, including strategic planning.Exceptional time management and teamwork skills.Understanding of government environment and processes.Culture and BenefitsThe Department of Transport is committed to building a culture of developing our people to achieve great outcomes for the Victorian transport network.
