HammondCare is an independent Christian charity specialising in dementia care, palliative care, rehabilitation, specialist mental health for older people, and other health and aged services.
Job Description We are looking for a reliable person to assist us one to two days per week in keeping our Residential Care Home looking its best.
Duties may include:
Tidying up our gardens Pruning Site rubbish pickup Minor repair or maintenance Changing light globes BBQ checks Pressure washing paths Re-arranging storerooms Painting Lubricating door locks If you feel this is a good match for you, we'd like to hear from you.
Your impact
Volunteering as a Maintenance Handyperson Volunteer can be a rewarding experience, both for the people you interact with as well as yourself.
Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
In your daily tasks and routine, you will cross paths with residents interested in what you are doing and who love a chat.
Requirements The commitment is one hour per week/fortnight for a minimum of 6 months.
We would be delighted to talk with you about a suitable day and time during the week (Monday to Friday) between 9am-4pm.
18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare plus NDIS Worker Screening Check.
