Key Responsibilities
5+ years of technical engineering experience Hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance (see AGSVA eligibility) Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for two (2) of the following: compute / storage / networking / CDN / databases / DevOps / big data and analytics / security / applications development in a distributed systems environment.
Experience as a technical account manager, consultant, solutions architect, platform engineer, systems engineer, cloud architect or in a similar role As a Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Amazon Web Services, you will be a valued member of the Enterprise Support team leading the success of enterprise support customers in building applications and services on the AWS platform.
Core Activities
Build solutions, provide technical guidance and advocate for customers Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy whilst reducing cost and complexity Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges Using technical acumen and customer obsession, drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management Consult with a range of partners from developers through to C-suite executives Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers With a bias for action, proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS Provide detailed reviews of service disruptions, metrics, detailed pre-launch planning Being part of a wider Enterprise Support team you'll provide post-sales, consultative expertise Solve problems across different customers as they migrate workloads to the cloud Uplift customer capabilities by running workshops and brown bag sessions.
A Day in the Life
Internally we call this role a Technical Account Manager (TAM).
Externally you operate as a Technical Consultant by earning trust with our customers and have a direct impact in helping our customers gain the most value from cloud technology.
You'll craft and execute strategies to drive our customers' adoption and use of AWS services.
Our Technical Account Managers engage rising startups building their business from scratch, through to large enterprises going through significant transformation.
You'll provide advice on architecture, support strategy, projects, launch planning as well as stabilization and operational issues.
Team Environment
