Payroll Team Leader

Lead our Payroll Team through an exciting period of changeEnjoy a competitive salary and fantastic NFP salary packaging benefitsJoin a values-based organisation and work in a rewarding environmentAbout the role The Payroll Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the timely payment of approximately 3,200 VMCH employees on a fortnightly basis, leading a team of five Payroll Officers in relation to day-to-day operations and providing specialist payroll advice to VMCH employees.
Some of the responsibilities of the role include:
Assisting Payroll Officers with any enquiries or issues that need to be escalatedMaintaining the payroll systemUpdating employee recordsCalculating and processing terminations, variations, salary increases and back paysPreparing superannuation and work cover deductionsProcessing salary packaging through our external providerAbout you You have extensive end-to-end payroll experience within a large, complex, multi-site organisation and the ability to lead a high-performing team.
In addition, you possess the following:
Understanding of payroll legislation and processesAbility to interpret Enterprise Agreements, Awards and relevant legislationExperience with payroll and time and attendance systems – we use Preceda and EmpliveOutstanding attention to detailThe ability to work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsWhy VMCH?
