ABOUT THIS ROLE As a JJ's Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Maintenance Mechanic, you will play an integral role within our workshop team in our Glendenning depot.
You will report to the Workshop Manager and will be conducting all facets of preventative maintenance and repair of heavy rigid vehicles including brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulics, and fabrication.
We are an essential services industry, offering stability to employees and reliability to our customers.
You will enjoy family-friendly hours – no more FIFO, as well as great pay rates - particularly for those interested in overtime or additional work on weekends

ABOUT YOU You should: Have trade qualifications as a Truck Mechanic - Heavy Commercial VehiclesDemonstrate an exceptional eye for detailComplete pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testingHave a HR and forklift licence (preferred but not essential)Have a good mechanical aptitudeDemonstrate a professional and outcome focusWork well individually and as part of a teamWant to be part of a culture of learning and continuous improvementBe dedicated and reliable; we are an essential services industryDemonstrate the ability to build rapport and relationships with all stakeholdersBe dedicated to achieving high standards of safety compliance and customer serviceLight Vehicle Qualified or 3rd / 4th year Heavy Vehicle Apprentice candidates encouraged to apply
