About the Role
The Public Transport Authority of Western Australia (PTA) is seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our Digital Projects Branch as the Portfolio Assurance and Support Manager .
In this pivotal role, you will drive the strategic alignment of our ICT portfolio, ensuring its success through innovative change initiatives, process improvements, and effective project delivery.
You will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive portfolio strategy that aligns with PTA's goals, optimizing resources, budgets, and risks, while fostering a high-performance team to ensure the successful delivery of ICT projects within scope, time, and budget.
This is a new role in a new team.
As the leader of the Portfolio Assurance and Support Unit, you will provide expert leadership in project management assurance, controls, and decision-making, ensuring consistency across the portfolio.
You will champion a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and continuous improvement, aligning with PTA's operational goals, while engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and project delivery.
Additionally, you will oversee the ongoing development and adherence to PTA policies, procedures, and the Project Management Framework, providing concise and impactful communication to senior executives, sponsors, and committees.
About you
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
Relevant experience and/or tertiary qualifications in Portfolio/Program/Project Management, or related field.
Proven ability to develop and implement portfolio management processes that align with organisational strategy and goals.
Project initiation and strategic alignment expertise combined with successful management, control, and planning of portfolios, programs, and projects, and the ability to meet agreed outcomes within specified timeframes while balancing competing priorities.
Experience in financial management, including budget development and reporting, risk management, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Strong leadership skills, with expertise in human resources practices and policies, managing team dynamics, supporting continuous professional development, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals while maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.
Ability to understand and analyse complex systems, relationships, and processes, develop solutions based on this analysis, and effectively plan, organise, prioritise tasks, and allocate resources to achieve successful outcomes.
Proficient in preparing clear, concise, and persuasive written content that meets the needs of the target audience, and in delivering complex information in a way that is accessible and understandable to a wide range of stakeholders.

There is currently one (1) permanent full time position available for immediate start.
