Specialist - Attendant Care and Support, National Injury Insurance Agency Queensland National Injury Insurance Agency Queensland – Brisbane QLD
You will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to facilitate the delivery of high-quality attendant care and support for National Injury Insurance Scheme Queensland (NIISQ) participants.
The employing entity for this role is NIISQ Agency.
Your role:
Provide participants, their family and carers with information and support about the NIISQ and NIISQ Agency as it relates to attendant care and support.
Assess participant needs in relation to attendant care and support and provide expert advice, guidance and options to maximise participant outcomes.
Monitor participants' attendant care and support in collaboration with internal stakeholders to facilitate high quality attendant care and support and participant independence.
Lead and support NIISQ Agency team members in decision-making by providing expert technical guidance, coaching, and peer supervision.
Lead the development, continuous improvement and implementation of strategies, policies, procedures and resources to enhance the quality of attendant care and support outcomes for participants.
Liaise with and provide guidance and education about the Scheme to attendant care and support providers and advisors.
Support the effective management of attendant care and support complaints and incidents.
Other duties or activities commensurate with the role.

Extensive knowledge and understanding of best practice attendant care and support relevant to the needs of NIISQ participants.
Demonstrated understanding of attendant care and support services and health and disability sectors relevant to the NIISQ.
Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration and relationship-management skills, with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
A proven track record in providing expert advice related to attendant care and support and making sound recommendations based on relevant evidence.
Demonstrated proficiency in coaching, training and building capability in stakeholders.
Demonstrated organisational and project management skills displaying a collaborative, autonomous and agile approach.
