Drill Fitter/ Workshop Supervisor

Mining - Engineering & Maintenance (Mining, Resources & Energy) Legion Drilling Australia is a specialist provider of Environmental and Geotechnical drilling services to leading consulting firms.
Our clients are a diverse range of commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
We are now looking for a mechanical/drill fitter with supervisor experience to work closely with our Maintenance Manager and a small maintenance team located in Pinkenba QLD.
This position will provide a great variety of work experience, constantly challenging with great opportunities for training and career development.
Equipment includes drilling rigs, compressors, pumps, and heavy vehicles.
Successful applicants will be required to be on call for 1 week per month and will be required to do occasional travel to attend breakdowns or service equipment in remote locations.

Key Responsibilities:Diesel engine diagnostics and repair.Ability to supervise tradesman and Apprentices.Strong leadership.Basic welding and fabrication.Heavy equipment rebuilding and refurbishing.Maintenance of heavy drilling equipment.Understanding of hydraulic systems.Electrical fault finding.Ability to maintain a positive attitude in physically and mentally stressful environments.A love of machines and a passion for understanding them.Computer literacy and a willingness to embrace new technologies.Enjoy working in small teams to overcome challenges.A desire to learn and grow.Required Qualifications:Able to pass fitness for work medical.Able to pass police clearance without criminal conviction.In return you will receive:Job security.Remuneration package based on skills and experience.Opportunity to grow and develop with a great team.To make an application please provide the following:
