Your new role We are currently seeking a flexible Care & Support Worker to join our team on a Part Time basis. In this dynamic and multi-faceted role, you will be working across our community care program based in and around the North Western Region assisting our clients in their homes.
So – what is a day in the life of a Community Care & Support Worker? No two days will be the same in this fast-paced and dynamic role. In your new role, some of the requirements will include:
Personal Care: showering, oral care, and continence managementMedication Assistance: Administering and monitoring medications, assisting with dressings and basic observationsFood Preparation: preparing, cooking, and serving mealsCommunity Support: escorting our clients on community outings e.g. shopping trips, excursions, lunches, appointmentsTransport: escorting our clients to medical and allied health appointments, hospital visits, and respite careDomestic Support: cleaning, tidying, changing bedding to ensure a safe, clean and sanitized environment for our clientWhat's in it for you? We offer many growth opportunities and have a strong internal recruitment program.What we will need from you: Completed or currently studying Certificate III/IV in Aged Care/Individual Support/Allied HealthMedication endorsement is favourable, but not essentialPrior experience in Aged or Community Care (preferred)Geographical understanding/willingness to travel and excellent communication skillsA non-judgmental approach with the ability to work with people from varying socio-economic backgroundsA caring approach and an understanding of the special needs of older peopleCurrent CPR & First AidThis sounds great How do I apply?
