Mineral Mining Services are a privately owned, WA based contract miner. Our clients include small cap gold miners (ASX and privately owned) and a select few tier one non-gold owner operator miners.Our growth has been significant and has been achieved by delivering results that our clients are proud of and can rely upon. Our offering includes turn-key project delivery with plant, operators, administration, engineers, geologists and project management. We are not a wet/dry hire plant provider, we are miners.Having recently been awarded a Kalgoorlie based, greenfield mining contract, we are looking to add to our Technical Services team with the addition of a Senior Mine Surveyor.This role will be offered on an 8/6 FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Kalgoorlie roster.Role Overview:We are seeking a dedicated Senior Mine Surveyor with a minimum of 5 years experience in open pit mining to support our operations. Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate survey data and technical support to optimise mining activities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities:Conduct precise and timely surveying of open pit mining areas, including bench and stockpile surveys.Assist in establishing and maintaining survey control networks to support mining operations and ensure accurate excavation and blasting.Monitor and report on pit development, ore extraction, and waste management activities.Generate detailed survey plans, maps, and sections to support mine planning and operational decision-making.Collaborate closely with mining engineers, geologists, and operational teams to provide essential survey support.Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations during surveying activities.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimising survey processes and data accuracy.Key Requirements:Diploma or Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Surveying, Geomatics, or related field.Authorised Mine Surveyor Grade 1 or 2 qualification.Minimum of 5 years experience in mine surveying within open pit mining operations with at least 1 year in a gold operation.Proficiency in using surveying instruments and software (e.g., Total Stations, GPS, Mining Software).Strong understanding of surveying principles, including volume calculations, pit design, and stockpile management.Ability to own and drive end of month (EOM) process and deliverables in a timely manner.Experience using various ground control monitoring systems.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyse survey data effectively.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.MMS offers competitive salaries, opportunities for professional growth, a collaborative work environment, and promotes a healthy work/life balance.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
