The Opportunity: As the ICT Systems Administrator, you will focus on successfully supporting the administration of Joint Electronic Warfare Operational Support unit ICT networks, building the value of the KEY-team brand with the client and maximizing opportunities for business growth.
You will closely coordinate with other EWIS-JA Projects to achieve success.
This successful candidate will hold an active NV2 and be willing to travel to RAAF Base Edinburgh (located in South Australia). Responsibilities: Support the Commonwealth with their Network tasksSupport the implementation of a network performance monitoring systemAssist with the upgrade of Linux systemsAssist with the administration of Virtualisation environmentsAssist with the upgrade of desktop imaging systemSupport the upgrade of JIRA-based servicesSupport the upgrade of network auditing systemsAssist with the upgrade of core hardwareSupport the implementation of logging systemsAssist with the upgrade of network securitySupport the update of system documentationSupport the implementation of end-point security and white-listing systemsSupport knowledge transfer to and mentoring of permanent SMU staffQualifications, Skills and Experience: 4 years' minimum experience in a similar rolePossess relevant ICT qualifications in network administrationJIRA ExpertVMWare administratorStorage (NetApp) administratorSQL Server administrator and experience with other databases would be advantageousWindows administratorExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication and customer service skillsDemonstrated stakeholder engagement experienceAn understanding of Electronic WarfareDefence experience (Uniformed, APS or Contractor)Other Competencies: Capability of working under broad directionTakes responsibility for their deliverablesInfluencing project direction through their contributionAn ability to apply fundamental ICT / Engineering critical thinking to problem solvingExperience in operating within a team environmentAbility to prioritize work and work in a flexible delivery environmentLocation: RAAF Base Edinburgh, SA
