Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled solicitor, with 2-3 years of post-qualification experience to join our vibrant civil litigation team, working in defamation, employment and human rights law.
This role offers a unique blend of civil law.
You will be working on complex, sensitive and impactful cases, contributing to meaningful legal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: Draft and prepare civil pleadings, legal documents, and submissions with accuracy and attention to detail.Engage in complex legal matters involving human rights, defamation, discrimination, and employment law.Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.Collaborate with senior solicitors and clients to develop case strategies and provide legal advice and first-class representation.Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring timely and effective case progression.Minimum Requirements: Admission as a Solicitor in NSW with 2-3 years of post-qualification experience, including a current NSW practicing certificate.Demonstrated experience in preparation and management of civil claims with knowledge of the NSW UCPR; Federal Court Rules etc.Proficient skills in drafting civil pleadings and handling complex legal matters.Experience in discrimination law, employment law and/or defamation law.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.A commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and achieving positive outcomes for clients with absolute professionalism.Previous experience working in a similar role or with a focus on the specified areas of law.Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.Enthusiasm for professional development and a desire to stay updated on legal trends and changes.A willingness to attend firm-sponsored events and collaborate with teams in other practice areas of the firm.What We Offer: A supportive and inclusive work environment with opportunities for professional growth.Competitive salary and benefits package including an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Option for hybrid working arrangements after an initial period.A chance to work on meaningful cases that make a real difference in people's lives.A chance to work for a prominent, award-winning law firm.If you are a dedicated and passionate solicitor looking to advance your career in a challenging and rewarding role, we would love to hear from you.
