About the Role: As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will be the hub between the business operations and our highly engaged Owner & CEO whom the role shall report directly to.
You will oversee all facets of the company's financial strategic objective, its governance, and reporting.
Commercial acumen & communication will be part of your DNA with your ability to provide detailed, precise commentary to the CEO who values precision & insight.
You'll lead our finance team whilst ensuring compliance, transparency, and strategic alignment with the company's objectives.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Collaborate with the CEO to create, maintain & execute the group-wide strategic & divisional business plans.Develop and execute short, medium & long-term financial strategies to ensure organisational growth and sustainability.Oversee all Company accounting practices, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax & audit functions.Mitigate financial risks through effective analysis and forward-planning.Drive financial governance and compliance with Australian standards and regulations.Drive revenue growth, resource optimisation, and reinvestment opportunities.Implement operational strategies informed by financial insights.Identify revenue opportunities, cost-saving measures, and process improvements.Analyse economic trends and provide strategic financial recommendations to leadership.Advise on market changes and emerging opportunities.Develop robust procurement processes & planning.Manage external auditor relationships and present financial insights to the CEO.Provide clear, actionable financial advice to the CEO & stakeholders.Evaluate liabilities, investments, and capital structure.Lead the finance team to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Core Competencies Maintain discretion & confidentiality with sensitive information at all times.Exceptional interpersonal communication and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate and manage staff at all levels.Sound decision making skills based on accurate and timely analyses.Professional written and oral communication skills.Ability to work under pressure and being prepared to roll the sleeves up when required.Strategic thinking, planning and creative problem-solving skills.Ability to lead by example and demonstrate strong sense of integrity, ethics and dependability.Participate and lead project teams to support improvement or implementation of financial systems.Conduct and minute regular team meetings and manage action items and deadlines following each meeting.Maintenance and development of accounting methods and policies.Work with internal and external stakeholders to maintain and improve the systems.Ensure all company assets are monitored and accurately accounted for ensuring fixed assets register is managed and maintained.Ensure company motor vehicles and properties are effectively managed.The ability to work to strict time constraints and meet all reporting deadlines.Advanced software skills, including Excel and financial reporting software (having worked with Jobpac will be a plus).Maintain integrity of accounting system & software, ensuring it always remains effective and operational.Identify integrity and control issues with current financial systems and advise solutions.Always comply with WHS legislation and the Company's quality management systems.Your application will include the following questions:
