We are an innovative and fast-growing wholesaler in the Electrical Wholesale and Retail Industry, having experienced remarkable growth over the past seven years.
As we continue to expand, we recognize that building an exceptional management team is key to our future success.
Our Managing Director and Founder, alongside the current General Manager, have achieved impressive results to date.
Now, we are seeking a dynamic General Manager with a strong financial background to oversee the day-to-day operations and drive the business forward.

We need a proven leader who can provide clear direction and inspire our management team and staff to reach new heights.

Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the General Manager will oversee the day-to-day activities of the business.
You will be responsible for managing department heads and ensuring smooth, efficient operations.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Reviewing and improving existing policies and procedures to increase efficiency and drive profitability.
Managing all staff, ensuring HR policies are properly implemented and followed.
Overseeing the finance function, including budgeting, cash flow management, and financial reporting, while ensuring robust checks and balances.
Managing the P&L and collaborating with the MD and department heads to implement strategic and operational improvements.
Fostering a positive work environment that attracts, retains, and develops high-quality team members, with clear performance criteria and KPIs that drive results.
Ensuring clear and consistent communication across all levels of the organization.
Driving operational stability through improved systems, procedures, and controls.
Partnering with the MD to develop and implement strategies focused on sales, gross profit, and net profit growth.
Key Attributes and Experience
We are looking for someone with:
5+ years of experience in a similar role within the Electrical Wholesale or Retail Industry.
Must possess the skills to read Financial Statements and be able to provide constructive feedback to the Finance Team and Managing Director regarding the Finance Function – prior experience within or leading a Finance Team would be ideal.
Strong leadership skills and business acumen.
The ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders and clients.
Experience with "Blue Chip" customers is highly valued.
Genuine care and the ability to connect, understand, and support team members and clients.
A commitment to accountability, teamwork, and achieving business goals.
Integrity, honesty, and respect in all actions.
A commitment to excellence, with a keen attention to detail that sets a high standard across the organization.
Tertiary qualifications are desirable but not essential—your experience and attitude are what will set you apart.
