Public Sector People (PSP) are working closely with a council based in the inner eastern suburbs to recruit an Asset Protection Permit Officer for a 6-week temporary contract.
An Asset Protection Permit Officer is responsible for assessing and processing Road and Footpath Occupation Permits.
Immediate start 6-week temporary contract with the potential for extension Hybrid working arrangement Band 4 Key Responsibilities: Assess all required documents supporting permit applications including Traffic Management Plans and site plans.
Identify and educate permit customers of where further permits are required when necessary.. Assess the type of work detailed in the application to identify the required permits, such as Asset Protection Permits, Building Permits, or Planning Permits, and direct the applicant to the appropriate department if needed.
Ensure Permits/Consents are issued inline with Service Level Agreement (SLA) and compliance requirements.
Key Criteria: Traffic Controller/ TMP assessment tickets.
Knowledge of local government operations.
Strong administration skills.
Ability to communication in an assertive, resilient, yet respectful and professional manner.
Experience in a technical or civil engineering environment is preferred.
