SUMMARY OF THE ROLEThe State Sales Manager is responsible for managing Marine & Protective Coatings (and Powder Coatings to some extent) sales activities.
The role is also accountable for promoting mainly Marine & Protective Coatings products in New South Wales by applying Jotun's sales tools and techniques to promote Jotun's products, services, and solutions, identify new business development opportunities and maintain customer relationships in order to achieve sales targets, gross margin, DSO and targeted market shares.The role is based at our branch office in Wetherill Park, New South Wales, and reporting directly to the National Sales Manager (Marine & Protective Coatings).Responsibilities:Develop and seek new business opportunities for the local market by targeting new customers to increase our market share and profitability.Introduce, promote, and sell a range of segment(s) products in assigned geographical territories through regular customer visits to maintain good relationships and obtain market information.Follow-up on projects within allocated geographical territories by coordinating and monitoring closely with project personnel to ensure Jotun products are used to achieve the sales budget.Troubleshoot, resolve and escalate specific customer problems.Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery, good customer service, and achieve company goals.Monitor collections to ensure customer payment is received within an agreed term to achieve budgeted days outstanding.Execute assigned sales activities related to achieving currently given targets in terms of volumes and gross margins through customers by providing timely direct services to the customers to ensure that the company achieves overall profitability.Responsible for the market mapping and expansion in the territory by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors to increase Jotun's market share.If applicable, organize, develop, motivate, and lead sales teams by setting clear targets and framework, coaching, supporting, following up, and monitoring each team member in line with The Penguin Spirit to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the whole team.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFERRequirements:A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales.Holding a relevant tertiary qualification is a bonus.Possess good knowledge in the related industry.Willing to travel.Leadership experience is required.Must hold full working rights in Australia at the time of application.We offer:We are a fast-growing paint company with proven financial success.Career development encompassing on-the-job experiences and Jotun Academy, our in-house development academy.Best-in-class paint products that are unparalleled in quality.We are a values-driven organization where Loyalty, Care, Respect and Boldness are core to the culture and success of our organization.POSITION INFORMATIONCompany: Jotun Australia Pty.
