This is a great opportunity to make a real difference to others in a supportive workplace that values people.As the People Advisory Business Partner based in Mount Waverley, this role is to provide quality and commercially effective advice to our employees and business leaders; whilst aiming to empower our managers to build their people capability.Reporting to the General Manager, your responsibilities will include:Proactively coach and provide effective quality people advisory, operational and tactical guidance to build credibility to our business leaders as a trusted advisor.Coach, train, and support key group leaders in HR functions, implementing HR policies, procedures, and practices with an aim to increasing our people manager capability.Partner with our business leaders to coordinate and resolve complex people management issues, including developing effective recommendations and solutions to achieve best outcomes.Assist in providing training and coaching to management in people compliance obligations including, but not limited to Employee Relations, Bullying, Harassment, Health & Well-being.Provide support regarding advice on levels of work, remuneration, contract of employment, performance management, training & development, organisational structure and other people-related issues in collaboration with the People, Performance & Culture team for integrated decision making.Project management of key People strategies, and company initiatives.Metricon will offer you:Free parking onsite and just off the Monash Freeway on Blackburn Road, Mount Waverley.Be supported by a Management Team that has a Culture Where You Matter.Ongoing learning and development opportunities to help build your skills and reach your potential - whether through nationally accredited courses, our highly engaging e-learning portal or other comprehensive training programs.Attractive housing discounts on our award-winning homes.You Matter Physical fitness, free flu vaccinations, nutrition and mental wellbeing are just some of the programs we sponsor at Metricon to help you be your best.24/7 access to our LifeWorks confidential support program which includes coaching for success at home and work.Exclusive access to building discounts, supplier/trade discounts, and retail discounts with big name brands through our rewards platform.The successful candidate will have:Tertiary qualification (Degree level - as a minimum) in Human Resources Management, Employment Law, Business, or related discipline.Extensive HR business partnering experience and minimum 5+ years working in a generalist role in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation and industrial framework, practices, and contemporary developments in People Management.Commercial and pragmatic (ability to identify and deliver initiatives that efficiently achieve our strategic and business unit objectives and/or eliminate business risks).Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills with proven ability to influence senior leaders and build trust and commitment.Be a team player.If you feel you have the knowledge, skills and experience to excel in this role, then apply with your Cover Letter and Resume.This role requires a national police check to be undertaken by the successful candidate.
