It's an opportunity to learn, grow, and engage in meaningful work that makes a positive impact around the globe.Job Purpose and ImpactThis Technical Service Manager will provide technical advice and support to B2B customers during and after product sales.
You will have deep and recent practical technical service experience in the ANZ region and be considered a subject matter expert in at least one sub-category within bakery and chocolate confectionery.
You will be the lead technical lead for customers, working alongside sales and marketing peers, bringing with you significant industry knowledge and contacts.
You will stay ahead of technology and business practices through workshops, research, and professional meetings.
You will have some experience in other categories and channels (including food service) as an experienced technical service professional.
You will translate customer issues/needs into projects and steer our organization.
Moreover, this role will proactively use technical skills and an entrepreneurial mindset to collaborate with internal stakeholders to convert consumer insights into solutions that will help customers win.Key AccountabilitiesBuild strong customer relationships from a technical perspective in conjunction with other peer connections with customers (sales, marketing, supply chain).Translate bakery and chocolate confectionery insights into differentiated concepts for customers working alongside internal stakeholders.Provide customer solutions and technical support materials in response to expressed needs.Coordinate R&D resources (applications etc.)
to support customers, including use of external innovation resources and pilot facilities.Utilize expertise on manufacturing and domain ingredient knowledge to provide on-site support and troubleshooting.Work with internal partners to perform complex research for product/solution development.Coordinate prototyping and co-development capability with regional teams.Organize project data and conclusions for presentations, assist with product demonstrations, and guide meetings with prospective customers.Deliver technical customer presentations and contribute to strategic account planning.Co-write project briefs alongside customers and keep them current.Handle complex issues with minimal supervision, escalating only the most complex issues.Interface between internal and external collaborators to communicate needs and manage expectations for specific ANZ application projects.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.Minimum of 8 years of related work experience in the Bakery or Chocolate Confectionery Category in B2B (food manufacturing) in the ANZ market.Some related work experience in the Food Service channel.Other minimum qualifications may apply.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree or Doctorate degree.Passion for understanding, creating, and communicating value and solutions to team members and customers.Public speaking experience.Key BehaviorsSeek customer engagement, entrepreneurial and growth mindset to find and deliver innovative solutions.Make sense of complex, high-quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.Work independently locally from a technical perspective, utilizing knowledge and resources relevant to our customers.Hold self and others accountable to meet commitments with an owner-operator mindset around investment and project management.Use influencing skills internally and externally to share the voice of the customer and articulate the shared value of solutions.We OfferIn return for your experience, we offer:A competitive remuneration package including a performance incentive plan.Autonomy and scope for career development.Flexible working arrangements.The opportunity to work with talented people in the industry and inspiring leaders.Job stability with a global employer who puts people first.A supportive working culture and an inclusive team environment.If you are ready to take on a rare, career-defining opportunity, are self-motivated and team-spirited, then we would love to hear from you.Cargill is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
