Position Profile: We are seeking enthusiastic applicants for the position of Manager Data Linkage Strategy.
Data Linkage is a significant program of work that is focused on the ongoing development of a WA Health Linkage Service that leads technical aspects of linked data and services both the government and research communities.
The service seeks to collaboratively develop a whole of government approach to governing and accessing linked data.
The vision is for WA Health to support State Government and the research community to deliver better outcomes for the state by putting data at the heart of decision-making through a coordinated, consistent and safe approach to using and sharing linked data.
In this position, the Manager of Data Linkage will support the Directorate by delivering long term strategic planning to facilitate and improve the development and implementation of technical innovations and the streamlining of requests for non-research data of Data Linkage service.
This includes providing management support to a technical team, including a team of data engineers who will manage parts of the linked data lifecycle.
The position will also manage a project team and Client Services function that focuses on strategic oversight of future Data Linkage reform.
You will undertake complex strategic projects across WA Health and external agencies to liaise between stakeholders and translate business requirements to enable Executive decision-making.
The Manager will lead the governance committee framework which includes representation from the academic, research, not-for-profit and government sectors and requires an in-depth understanding of policy reform.
Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.
