About The RoleAre you ready to make a significant impact?
This role is all about analysing, assessing, structuring, and making decisions on BOQ Business SME and Middle Market Commercial submissions.
You'll either exercise your Delegated Approval Authority (DAA) or present submissions to the relevant DAA holder, ensuring that credit risk is managed to the highest standard and that pricing aligns perfectly with the terms and risk involved.
You'll play a crucial role throughout the loan's lifecycle, ensuring that loan documentation accurately reflects all approval conditions, conducting periodic reviews to maintain appropriate risk ratings, and taking necessary remedial actions to keep the Bank's exposure within its risk appetite.
But that's not all
You'll also have the opportunity to coach and mentor others, fostering a best-practice risk culture across the organisation.
This role is pivotal in driving the organisation's business objectives, targets, and overall strategy.
About YouWe're looking for someone with relevant experience in a similar role, whilst bringing a wealth of knowledge in credit risk.
Your strong customer focus shines through in every interaction, whether with internal teams or external clients.
You've wielded credit approval authority at a major financial institution, showcasing your ability to read, understand, and analyse financial statements and corporate structures with ease.
You're a master at considering a broad range of factors when structuring and decisioning proposals.
Your expertise spans assessing creditworthiness, identifying and mitigating risks, evaluating cash flow adequacy, and understanding property valuation principles.
You have a knack for applying bank policies effectively and possess exceptional communication skills, enabling you to write compelling reports, address meetings confidently, and facilitate engaging group discussions.
Your empathetic nature and interpersonal skills make you a valued team member at all organisational levels.
You're not just a team player; you're a committed and enthusiastic contributor who brings a professional and balanced approach to everything you do.
You excel at managing and prioritizing workflows independently and have a keen understanding of key business drivers and success factors.
Your knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act, National Consumer Credit Protection Act, and more, is the cherry on top.
