We are seeking applications for a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic position to join our Workshop Team in Berrimah.
Working with a small team, this position will beresponsible for but not limited to servicing, repair and maintenance of heavy vehicles, including fault finding and diagnostics to assist the prevention of breakdowns or reduce downtime.

To be considered for this role, the candidate will require the following;
Qualifications A trade qualification as a Diesel MechanicMinimum 2 years experience in the industryMinimum MR licence with H endorsement (desirable)Working with Children Clearance (desirable)Experience Diesel mechanical experience with Mercedes Benz, MAN, Toyota vehiclesBasic auto electrical experienceAbility to carry out vehicle inspections/ maintenance – preferably in Heavy VehiclesForklift Licence (desirable, not essential)Skills Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skillsOrganisational skills to prioritise tasks and manage time effectivelyAbility to be flexible, demonstrate initiative, and work effectively under pressureProblem-solving, being able to think outside the squareKnowledge High level of knowledge of engines, transmissions, and computer diagnostic experienceBasic knowledge of electrical componentsAttributes Ability to work independently and unsupervisedAbility to work with Management in achieving Management's expectations and requirementsGood work ethic and a good attitudeContribute positively within a team environment, demonstrating initiative, integrity, and collaborationWhat's in it for me: A united team environment in a thriving businessPotential support for any ongoing trainingUnderstanding and support for work life balanceOpportunity to contribute to new initiatives in a growing businessRelocation assistance availableEmployee wellness program, discounts on health insurance, local gyms, and yoga studiosEmployee assistance program (EAP)Supported by one of Australia's leading transport companies - ComfortDelGroNovated leasing optionsA drug & alcohol screening along with a pre-employment medical will be required for the successful applicant prior to employment.
