Reporting to the HR Manager, Minerals Australasia, the Senior HR Advisor is responsible for delivering a broad range of HR services, from employee relations and performance management to talent development and corporate compliance.You will need to be hands-on, as the role involves spending significant time in the production area of our laboratory/minerals testing facility in Maddington, liaising with and supporting managers, supervisors and employees to drive engagement and achieve business objectives. A focus on engagement, and the ability and commitment to build strong relationships with leaders and employees, will be critical to achieving success.What you'll be doingProvide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on all HR-related mattersPartner with business leaders in your portfolio to implement HR strategies that support the organisation's goalsAdminister HR policies, procedures and programs, ensuring compliance with relevant legislationDrive participation in Corporate initiatives, strategies and programs within your portfolioContribute to talent acquisition and management initiatives, including recruitment, onboarding and succession planningFacilitate learning and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and performanceCollaborate with the HR team to identify and address organisational challengesMaintain accurate employee records and generate HR-related reportsWhat we're looking for5+ years of progressive experience in a generalist HR role, with some of this experience ideally within a high-volume, fast-paced production or manufacturing environmentKnowledge of Australian employment laws and HR best practicesKnowledge and understanding of the Manufacturing & Associated Industries & Occupations Award highly desirableExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levelsStrong problem-solving skills, with the capacity to provide pragmatic HR solutionsProficiency in HR information systems and data analysisTertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related field preferred.What we offerAt Intertek, we are committed to creating a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees.
