About the opportunity: As a Retail Postal Delivery Officer, you will be streaming and checking mail and parcels. You will work both individually and as part of a team to ensure that mail and parcels are lodged and charged correctly.
You'll be responsible for: Building collaborative relationships with customers to understand their needs.Preparing outward mail for dispatch through correct presentation and review of charging related documents.Processing and loading parcel lockers.Sorting carded parcels and mail lodgements.Assisting with parcel delivery through the parcel hatch.Handling ULDs with LSEs (training will be provided).About you: You're friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable, enjoying both teamwork and autonomy.You're motivated by the opportunity to help make a difference in your community.You'll need to demonstrate good memory and hand-eye coordination while sorting.You must be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail regularly and stand for your shift.Additional requirements: Lift up to 16kg of mail and/or parcels on a repetitive basis.Stand for the duration of your shift.Be customer-focused and work collaboratively with your team.Demonstrate fast and efficient work habits.Maintain appropriate Occupational Health and Safety practices.How we'll deliver for you: We invest in you for the long-term, encouraging growth through our values of trust, inclusivity, empowerment, and safety.Be part of a culture where everyone feels they belong and are valued.We invest in your personal well-being and recognize your contributions with Post Perks and more.Inclusivity statement: At Australia Post, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land.
