Continuing / Part Time (0.2FTE) Role located at La Trobe University's Bundoora CampusLecturer/Level B Teaching Only AcademicGenerous package, including 17% Superannuation and a range of employee benefitsAbout the position The Academic Practitioner (Law or Criminology) role in the Law School focuses on teaching with a practical emphasis, specifically designed for individuals who can bring current law or criminology practice experience into the classroom.
It is ideal for those eager to impart practical knowledge to the next generation of law or criminology professionals.
This position involves teaching one or two electives each year, with a primary focus on practice-oriented subjects.
While all applicants will be considered, the Law School is especially interested in expertise in Forensic Psychology and the Law.
This role will be supported by the Associate Dean (Learning and Teaching) and the Associate Dean (Academic).
Key Responsibilities Coordinate and teach allocated law or criminology subjects to LLB (Hons), JD or Bachelor of Criminology students.Coordinate and teach subjects providing a high-quality learning experience that engages students through the conduct of lectures, tutorials, and practical classes in online, blended or face-to-face modes.Provide constructive, fair and timely feedback on learning and assessment to students.Contribute to teaching improvement projects at subject or course level.Skills & Experience Recent practical experience in the relevant discipline.Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, curriculum development and subject coordination in face-to-face, blended and/or online modes, as evidenced by sustained high results on student feedback on teaching surveys, teaching excellence awards or through other forms of evidence.Application Requirements Please submit an online application ONLY and include the following documents:
