About the opportunity We seek a skilled individual to work in our Aboriginal Programs team providing support and advocacy to our patients and families at Werribee Mercy Hospital.
This is an Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander identified position As part of a multi-disciplinary team, provide support to promote health, cultural safety, and well-being for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people Assist in the identification of barriers for Aboriginal families in accessing health care What you'll bring You're resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart.

To thrive in this role, you will have: Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to the Victorian Aboriginal community, culture and values High level skills in the provision of support and advocacy to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people Well-developed communication skills and a demonstrated capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team You are a dedicated and motivated individual A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
