The Principal Technical Program Manager role reports to the PMO Director and is an individual contributor role in a matrix structure.ResponsibilitiesDo you have a passion for high scale services and working with some of Oracle's most critical customers?
We are looking to hire a Principal Technical Program Manager for the Software Assurance program at Oracle.The Software Assurance Principal Technical Program Manager will be responsible for managing large scale, global, big-impact programs, predominantly focusing on software assurance in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
You will be the integration point for software development, software assurance, and cloud infrastructure teams.
You will have technical skills to follow conversations around mobile app software development, operating systems or software development, and their intersection with software assurance needs.
This role will be responsible for managing overall program and cross-functional teams, risks, issues, dependencies, and conflicting priorities to successful completion.
The program is globally spread in a matrix organization and very fast-paced, it's a dynamic environment and you will need to be able to adapt quickly.You are a self-motivated, technical-minded individual with a passion for getting things done.
You are ambitious, yet humble – you realize there are always opportunities for improvement, you take on feedback from team members and introspect to raise the bar for yourself.
You are comfortable with ambiguity, managing complex programs and making your team shine.In this role, you will work with a global team across multiple time zones in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
You should have the ability to scale yourself and a strong desire to learn new things quickly.For this role, it is required that you have a strong technical background.
You will have demonstrated examples of working closely with technical and operational teams such as architects, software developers, researchers, security analysts, SREs, data scientists, and mobile engineering teams, having a background in software assurance, application security is highly desirable.A strong drive, sense of ownership, and ability to work autonomously is required.
You will be expected to take an overall view of the program, lead cross-functionally, track and deliver quality end-to-end to committed timelines.You will manage the development and implementation process of a software assurance program involving departmental and cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products.
Plan and direct schedules.
Monitor the program from initiation through delivery.
Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the program on schedule.Work You'll DoManage complex global programs and projects end-to-end in a highly matrix organization, manage roadmap and deliver outcomes.Plan, schedule, and manage the execution of project activities for the software assurance team.Create iteration work plans with input from various technical teams, including application security, mobile, cloud applications, and security teams.Work with a diversified group of stakeholders and technical leads to identify, communicate, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.Track work progresses and create audience-appropriate status reporting.Develop, and maintain agile board(s), Jira issues, and Confluence pages.Drive on-schedule project outcomes by focusing on deliverables, identifying dependencies and obstacles, and taking ownership to remove the impediments for the delivery teams.Mentor project team members and peers and lead using influence.What You'll BringBachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security or related discipline.8+ years of relevant work experience in program and project management.5+ years leading complex technical/engineering programs in the areas of Cloud or Mobile applications or Security Research.Ability to manage all phases of the software development life cycle.Experience in managing cloud-based projects.Excellent written and verbal communications skills.Ability to facilitate meetings, capture minutes and action items, and drive to-dos to completion.Schedule awareness – ability to communicate priorities and sequence project work.Ability to manage cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams in various time zones.Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) with different levels in the org.Expertise with tools Jira, Confluence.PMP or other Project/Program Management industry certification(s).Cloud Certification(s) (OCI).Eligibility to work in Australia without sponsorship.Nice to HaveExperience in managing software assurance, application security projects.Technical background in security space, cloud applications.Working knowledge of scripting language for JIRA & Confluence automation would be a plus.What We'll Give YouWork with a team of very skilled and diverse personnel across the globe.Develop new skills and competencies working with our vast cloud product offerings.Ongoing extensive training and skills development to further your career aspirations.Incredible benefits and company perks.An organization filled with smart, enthusiastic, and motivated colleagues.The opportunity to impact and improve our systems and delight our customers.If this sounds like you and you want to roll up your sleeves and make an impact in the software assurance world, please hit the apply button and our hiring team would love to get in touch.#LI-DNICareer Level - IC4
