The role The Manager Operations leads and manages Council's Waste, Works and Climate Change teams through:
Managing the effective and efficient delivery of waste management strategies, services and infrastructureEnsuring efficient and effective planning, delivery, contract and project management of Council's capital works and maintenance programs that are within the Operations teamManaging sustainability matters with a focus on climate change adaptation and mitigation across Council and the wider communityDeveloping and managing the waste, works, and climate change team budgetDeveloping and maintaining the trust and confidence of staff, Councillors, the Mount Alexander Shire community and our partnersInterpreting and managing legislation and regulation requirementsAs a member of the leadership team, you will work closely with other senior staff to create and maintain a culture that supports high levels of staff engagement and performance.

Formal qualifications in a related discipline, and extensive experience in the area of waste and works services.A high level of managerial experience and a proven track record as an effective leader.Project management experience, from initiation through to implementation working to time and budget deadlines.Demonstrated ability to think strategically and to work effectively in a complex, political environment.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and present to a variety of stakeholders.If you have any questions or would like to discuss the role, please contact Michael Annear, Director Infrastructure and Development, on .
