Executive Manager- Specialist Services – Domestic Violence Action Centre (DVAC) Full-Time, Permanent | SCHADS Level 8 | Ipswich & Toowoomba Are you an experienced leader with a passion for driving excellence in service delivery and supporting a team dedicated to ending gender-based violence?
The Domestic Violence Action Centre (DVAC) is seeking a dynamic and strategic Executive Manager- Specialist Services to oversee and lead services across Ipswich and Toowoomba.
About Us DVAC works with individuals and communities to eliminate, prevent, and respond to domestic and family violence, and sexual violence.
We provide high-quality support services, challenge social norms that enable violence, and build community awareness and capacity.
The Role As Executive Manager- Specialist Services , you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of service delivery across our Ipswich and Toowoomba services.
You will provide supervision and leadership to Team Leaders and staff, ensuring continuous improvement, compliance with best practices, and alignment with DVAC's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee day-to-day operations, including program development, evaluation, and reporting.
Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team on strategic planning, service improvement, and project implementation.
Develop and deliver expert training packages for internal staff and external professionals.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, quality assurance standards, and service accreditation.
Provide direct crisis services to victims of domestic, family, and sexual violence when necessary.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, community partners, and service providers.
Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and quality improvement within the team.
What You Bring: Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, or a human services field (essential).
At least 5 years of leadership and management experience within the domestic, family, and sexual violence sector.
Experience in staff supervision, case consultation, and supporting professional development.
Strong understanding of gender-based violence from a feminist perspective and ability to apply this knowledge to service delivery.
Proven ability to develop training programs and provide education to diverse audiences.
Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in building collaborative partnerships.
A current driver's license, Blue Card, and successful National Police Check (or ability to obtain).
