About the Role
We seek an experienced Restaurant Manager to take ownership of the floor & bar operations and assist the venue manager, head chef and owner in the smooth running of the restaurant.
Duties include but are not limited to:
providing excellent service to customers
assisting in the development of the beverage menu and specials
providing training to new and existing staff members on daily requirements of their roles, bar & floor staff.
ensuring the cleanliness and efficiency of floor & bar operations
Report on a daily basis to the Venue Manager feedback on the execution of the shift from other staff etc and general daily running operations.
About you
You must be willing to support and lead by example to all food and beverage staff in their general duties as required, such as delivering food, mixing drinks, taking orders, and clearing tables.
You will also need some experience at end of day cash handling & restaurant budgets
Is this you?
The successful candidate must:
have at least two years of experience in a similar role across lunches and dinners.
have a passionate motivation to exceed customer expectations through creativity and fresh ideas, balanced with sound practical and financial knowledge of restaurant operations (food & beverage)
demonstrate and expect high standards across the board (in personal appearance, safety, hygiene, work ethic, and of course, beverage preparation)
be reliable and trustworthy
work well in, and support your team
have excellent communication skills
be friendly, calm and respectful to both FOH and BOH staff
Have a current RSA
Be available across the 7 days for a flexible rotating roster
