Corporate Governance Advisor

Brisbane CBD Location Hybrid Working Environment Contribute to a leading financial services organisation As our Corporate Governance Advisor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality secretariat and governance support to our subsidiary boards and legal entities.
Working within the Company Secretariat team, you will be involved in corporate governance, compliance, statutory administration, and the management of intellectual property.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in corporate governance who is ready to make an impact in a supportive and collaborative environment.
What You'll Do Provide end-to-end support for Suncorp's subsidiary boards, including preparing agendas, meeting documentation, and minutes Oversee statutory records, maintain corporate registers, and ensure compliance with all regulatory filing requirements Assist with ASX Listing Rule compliance, disclosures, and other governance requirements Work closely with internal teams, stakeholders, and auditors, contributing to governance best practices across Suncorp What You'll Bring Tertiary qualifications in Law, Accounting, or Business Administration are desirable, with additional professional qualifications in governance preferred Minimum of 2 years' experience in a company secretariat or governance role within financial services or a regulated industry Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work autonomously Understanding of the Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules, APRA regulations, and corporate governance best practices What we can offer A range of flexible working and leave options, including 20 weeks paid parental leave, 4 weeks paid secondary carer parental leave and unlimited paid emergency response leave Discounts and offers on a range of retail favourite stores as well as insurance products Give back to our communities with payroll giving, donation matching and paid volunteer leave Invest in your brighter future with ongoing study support and career development programs; and Prioritise your work/life balance with our robust employee assistance program and dedicated employee council Employee benefits | Suncorp Group At Suncorp we believe we are our best when our workforce is as diverse, talented and passionate as the communities in which we live and operate, and where our people feel included, valued and connected.
