The Project Manager manages the execution of projects on behalf of the business from inception through to delivery and transition to production.
This role is designed to support the IT Services team across a range of services encompassing technology architecture design, data platforms, business solutions, project services, technology networks and computers, school services via a central technology service desk and cyber security.
This role would suit an accomplished Project Manager with experience of Agile delivery.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Defining complex project scope and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with project sponsors and/or business units; Work with all relevant stakeholders to identify and confirm business requirements for the projects allocated (including functional and non-functional details).
Work with solution designers and architects to develop and finalise the solution design, including approval from the Architecture Review Team.
Determine and develop hybrid/agile delivery approach, coordinate with all relevant delivery teams to develop estimates on costs and timeframes for the delivery of the agreed solutions.
Work with all relevant stakeholders to identify all material risks and issues associated with the execution of the project.
Establishment of appropriate governance structure, management of steering committees and/or project control groups and reporting.
Supporting the project sponsor with executive briefings where required.
ABOUT YOU
Project Management – demonstrated track record in managing and leading information and technology projects consisting of multiple streams and multi-site deployment.
Extensive experience delivering in agile and hybrid.
Stakeholder Management – ability to influence and build relationships with diverse stakeholder groups on highly complex issues.
Communication Skills – negotiates firmly and tactfully in complex situations with senior stakeholders.
Develops easy to read and persuasive project documents and briefs for senior management on complex issues, providing expert analysis and clear recommendations.
People Management – drives a shared vision to achieve objectives in challenging circumstances and gains commitment from staff, molding effective work teams and encouraging staff to take responsibility while supporting their career aspirations.
Commercial Acumen – experience applying tactical commercial knowledge and experience in decision-making and negotiations to produce efficiencies in the broader business unit or organisational environment.
Technical Skills - high level knowledge and skills in working with relevant software packages, especially within M365, Microsoft Office, MS Teams, SharePoint, MS Project, JIRA and Confluence.
