We engage with emergency management partners and the community to offer assurance to government and the community that lessons from emergencies will be turned into sustainable improvements that make a lasting difference.IGEM is a child safe employer and is committed to ensuring that policies, practices and assurance activities reflect and consider the protection, wellbeing and empowerment of children and young people.IGEM offers our people the advantages of a small, supportive and collaborative workplace alongside the resources, systems and development opportunities that come with being part of the Department of Justice and Community Safety.About the Role:Reporting to the Director, Office of the IGEM (Deputy Inspector-General), the Manager Evaluation and Review (Program Lead) leads a team to plan and conduct evaluations and reviews to assess the capacity, capability and performance of the emergency management sector against intended community-focused outcomes and leading practice.Leading the planning and conduct of system-wide evaluations and reviews of emergency management sector capacity, capability and performance in support of sustainable improvementManaging complex data collection, collation and analysis as part of the evaluation and review program through a range of methodologies, including literature reviews, surveys, meetings and interviewsManaging the conduct of environmental scanning and targeted research and provide expert strategic advice on leading practice within the emergency management sector in relation to a given topic of evaluation and reviewAbout youThis role is ideal for someone with:Demonstrated experience in leading the planning and conduct of high-level evaluation and reviewDemonstrated ability to manage high-performing teamsDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of the emergency management sector.This role offers the opportunity to join a contemporary, energetic organisation and work independently as part of a high performing team.
