Serving Auburn, Blacktown, The Hills Shire, Holroyd, and Parramatta LGAs.Offering primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare services.Committed to improving health for the people of Western Sydney and beyond.Guided by core values: collaboration, openness, respect, empowerment.Focusing on equitable, accessible healthcare for diverse communities.What you'll be doing The Special Needs Department of Westmead's Dental Hospital (WSLHD Oral Health Services) is the only state-wide referral service for specialist-led Special Needs Dentistry, providing dental treatment to patients with a broad variety of physical and intellectual disabilities, along with complex medical issues who find it difficult to access mainstream dental services.
The successful applicant will be exposed to a broad scope of hospital-based dentistry and will be required to demonstrate an advanced level of clinical, diagnostic, and client management skills in a consultant-led setting.
In addition, the applicant will be required to support the Department with additional administrative duties and facilitate inpatient care, particularly ward visits and facilitating inpatient transfers.

Qualification: Dental qualification registrable with the Dental Board of AustraliaRegistration: Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a DentistSelection Criteria: Demonstrated advanced clinical and diagnostic skills.Highly advanced skills in the management of patients with complex medical conditions and complex dental needs.Advanced independent judgement and problem-solving skills in a clinical situation.Excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with a range of individuals including the general public.A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to a preventative/population health approach to patient care.A demonstrated ability to work independently and within a large team exercising leadership and mentoring skills, as well as under the direction of clinical specialists.A demonstrated commitment to continuing education.Requisition ID: REQ527428
