With a strong presence in the building industry, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional quality and service.
To support our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Construction Estimator to join our team.
The Role:
As a Construction Estimator at BGH Construction, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our project costing, planning processes, and administration.
Based primarily in our Toronto office, you will collaborate closely with the construction team, director, and supervisor to support the seamless execution of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects, including custom homes, renovations, and additions.
Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and maintain a robust database of costs.
Collaborate with the construction team to refine project budgets and ensure alignment with client expectations.
Assist in identifying potential project risks and developing mitigation strategies.
Track costs.
Maintain clear and professional communication with all stakeholders, ensuring the timely submission of bids and estimates.
Complete detailed contracts, specifications, and subcontract agreements.
Qualify and disqualify leads.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
Must have Certificate IV in Estimating/Project Management.
2 years experience as a Construction Estimator within the residential building and construction industry.
Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Proficient in construction estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
A proactive attitude and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
