$36 - $54.59 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience) + super + RDO + tax benefitsWorking in the Preschool RoomMonday - Friday, 8hr rotating roster.About the OpportunityAs an Early Childhood Teacher, you will contribute to the planning, implementation, evaluation, and reflection of the educational program for the children.
You will provide quality education and care to children to help support and facilitate their learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework.
As part of the new inclusive campus community at Uniting Westmead Early Learning, our long day care centre offers unique learning opportunities, with 75 places for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old.
The facility includes a fire pit, chickens, and large free-flowing learning spaces that bring the indoors outdoors.
Uniting Westmead Campus comprises an Early Learning Centre, Residential Aged Care, Retirement living, Seniors Gym, and a café open to the public.
This provides opportunities to participate in intergenerational programs as well as connecting with the local community.
Your work may include: Contributing to the development of programs that reflect the approved learning framework.Developing positive and respectful relationships that support children, their families, and the community.Facilitating play-based learning environments that are responsive to children's interests, strengths, and abilities.Guiding and supporting educators to implement the program and philosophy for the children.Participating in ongoing excursions in the community.Who we're looking for: Bachelor in Teaching / Early Childhood Education.Minimum 3 years' experience working as an ECT.Possibility of shared Educational Lead role, depending on experience.A work history that demonstrates recording observations, writing learning stories, and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework.Understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF.Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and community members.Adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful, living Uniting's everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.What we offer you: Maximum allowable salary packaging to pay less tax (additional $18,550 tax-free plus regional benefits plus parking).A range of shifts to suit your lifestyle.A commitment to offer opportunities to grow your career.Discounts and cash back programs with major retailers.Wellbeing programs including confidential employee assistance program available to you and your family members.What to expect:Please know that employment with Uniting requires:
