About the Opportunity
You'll help seniors stay socially connected and engaged in activities and experiences while attending our Day Centre in Chatswood. You'll provide essential support that enhances well-being, promotes happiness, and impacts their quality of life.
What you will be doing in this role Assist in the development, planning and running ofa range of social and recreational activities for clientsFacilitate cultural activities and special eventsProvide physical, personal and social support to clients as neededMonitor and document the client's progressAssist in the day-to-day running of all aspects of the Centre, including excursions and the transport of clientsAssist clients in and out of their homes and on/off vehicle into the centre or other destinations as necessaryWhere required, drive the Facility Bus and the Facility Commuter VehicleWho we are looking for Previous experience in aged or community care.Experience or an interest in Senior's leisure and lifestylePro-active and energetic self-starter with a strong customer service focus and computer competenceBackground supporting clients experiencing cognitive declineEmpathetic, creative and resourceful, embodying Uniting's values of compassion, respect, imagination, and boldness.A provisional or full Australian driving licenseCertificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.About Uniting Aged Care When you're part of Uniting NSW & ACT, you're part of a diverse, purpose-led team of people who are really making a difference to the world around them.
