We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Sous Chef to join our team on a full-time basis.
The Sous Chef will support the Head Chef and Executive Chef in overseeing the kitchen operation in all our outlets, whilst guiding and mentoring our team of Chefs.
About the Role… The key responsibilities in this exciting role include:
Displaying strong leadership skills by guiding a team of Chefs across various outlets to deliver accurate and efficient serviceSupporting the day-to-day control of food production ensuring that the output is of exceptional quality and presentationMaintaining stock control, wastage levels, and food and labour costsCreating and producing menus including costings and standard recipe cardsActively training, mentoring, and guiding the kitchen team on service techniques and procedures, ensuring staff perform to the required standardWorking collaboratively with the food and beverage teamAbout You… To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
Formal qualifications in Commercial CookeryExperience in a similar role and with A la carte serviceCurrent Food Safety Supervisor accreditationA high calibre of food skills and product knowledgeDemonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team of ChefsStrong knowledge of Work, Health and Safety, and Food and Hygiene practicesExcellent communication, interpersonal, and computer skillsFlexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidaysFull working rights in AustraliaWhat's in it for you?
