About the role
We have experienced growth as a company and seek a dedicated and professionally like-minded person to join our team.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead and manage civil construction projects from initiation to completion.
The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
This role requires a strong background in project management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining the scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk management strategies.
Oversee the implementation of project plans, ensuring that milestones are achieved and timelines are adhered to.
Budget adherence including monthly reporting to management ensuring profitability on projects are maximized and forecasts are met at a minimum.
Submission of all monthly progress claims and variations to clients and sub-contractors.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project.
Manage client relationships and resolve any issues or concerns that arise during the project.
Planning and scheduling resource allocation including procurement of all sub-contract agreements and Purchase Orders.
Team Leadership and Coordination: Lead and manage project teams, including site engineers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, to ensure alignment with project goals.
Ensure the flow of project information is developed, maintained, and documented.
Risk Management and Problem Solving: Identify potential risks, delays, or issues and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Address and resolve any problems that arise during project execution, including technical, scheduling, or resource-related issues.
Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to ensure work is progressing as planned.
Quality Control and Compliance: Ensure all work is performed according to contractual requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Implement quality control procedures and conduct site inspections to verify the quality of work being completed.
Responsible for implementing and adhering to the company's management systems for ISO accreditation 9001, 14001, 45001 in Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements.
Key Selection Criteria:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in civil construction.
Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, including design, procurement, execution, and handover.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
In-depth understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and software.
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
Well-versed in construction contracts, procurement processes, and risk management.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
