Leadership Opportunity at Next Step Next Step's Drug & Alcohol Service in East Perth has a 12-month Fixed term contract opportunity for Manager Community Pharmacotherapy Program (CPP).
About Next Step Next Step is the leading government drug and alcohol treatment service in Western Australia providing a range of clinical services.
The treatment services provided by Next Step include:
Community programs including the Community Pharmacotherapy Program and the Clinical Advisory Service.Outpatient services at East Perth and via integrated Community Alcohol and Drug Services at six metropolitan locations.The Inpatient Withdrawal Unit at East Perth.An onsite pharmacy service based at East Perth.Outpatient and inpatient youth services via the Integrated Drug and Alcohol Youth Service.Next Step strives to be a culturally secure and inclusive service that is respectful of the diverse needs of each individual.
About the Role The Community Pharmacotherapy Program (CPP) provides support, information, advice, training, and resources for clients, pharmacists, and medical practitioners involved in methadone and buprenorphine treatment for opioid dependence throughout WA.
CPP, together with the Department of Health, administers the clinical and regulatory controls which apply across the Program.
In consultation with the Coordinator of Nursing, this position is responsible for the strategic development, operational and clinical management of community clinical programs.
Consults and negotiates with State, Commonwealth, and Community-based agencies and the private sector to facilitate the delivery of community-based opioid pharmacotherapy.
Plans, develops, and implements policies and procedures to ensure the operation of the program.
About You We are seeking an experienced leader to join this highly specialised service in the monitoring and management of the CPP.
You will have:
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of treatment service delivery relevant to the alcohol and drug field.
Clinical experience in the management of opioid-dependent people will be preferred.Highly developed policy formulation, program development, and planning skills.Demonstrated ability to effectively manage staff and resources.We reward you: East Metropolitan Health Service is committed to staff development and wellbeing.
