A bit about the role The Community Services Program Officer plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and evaluating projects to enhance Meals and Accessible Transport services, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of Casey's diverse community.
The position focuses on community development, stakeholder engagement, and project management, including organising focus groups, identifying and driving service improvements, and volunteer coordination.
Responsibilities include volunteer management including recruitment, compliance, and training.
The role demands strong project planning, collaboration, problem-solving, and organisational skills while maintaining robust community and stakeholder relationships, and alignment with Casey City Council's values and strategic objectives.
What you'll deliver Drive service and program improvements through evidence-based approaches and effective project planning, including defining goals, timelines, and responsibilities.Facilitate meetings, focus groups, and stakeholder collaboration to identify issues, opportunities, and innovative ideas that align with strategic objectives.Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, organizations, and networks to foster collaboration and support.Coordinate volunteer recruitment, compliance, onboarding, training, and recognition events to enhance engagement and meet program needs.Evaluate and implement strategies to improve volunteer participation while supporting Community Services teams and stakeholders.What you'll bring Background in Community Development, Project Management, or relevant experience in community services, including Aged Care knowledge.Strong stakeholder relationship management, project planning, multitasking, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Effective communicator, proactive problem-solver, and adaptable with a future-focused, innovative mindset.Understanding of Aged Care and the challenges faced by vulnerable communities.Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check, Psychometric Testing.What's next?
