We are excited to be partnering with a Local Council in Western Sydney in the search for an Economic Attraction Lead to join the team
About the Role As the Economic Attraction Lead, you will spearhead initiatives that drive economic growth, create employment opportunities, and attract investment to the city.
As a strategic leader, the Economic Attraction Lead will work closely with stakeholders across government, business, and the local community to deliver transformative outcomes aligned with the Economic Development Strategy 2023-2031.
This role will involve: Developing and implementing projects that strengthen Penrith's economic positionCollaborating with stakeholders to unlock regional opportunities and support local business growthProviding high-level economic advice and insights to internal teams and external partnersMonitoring and reporting on key economic initiatives to track performance and outcomesWe're looking for someone with: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Economic Development, Urban Planning, or a related fieldExperience in delivering economic, regional, or urban development projectsExceptional analytical and organisational skills, with a proven ability to manage complex projectsExpertise in interpreting economic and demographic data to inform decision-makingStrong communication and relationship-building skills, including public speaking and stakeholder engagementA track record of driving initiatives that lead to measurable growth and successA valid Class C Driver LicenseExperience working in government, the public sector, or similarly complex environmentsBenefits: Flexible work options to suit your lifestylePaid maternity leave (18 weeks)Generous personal leave provisionsSupport for professional development and educationAccess to salary packaging and other financial incentivesFree entry to Ripples leisure facilitiesA culture that values innovation, collaboration, and diversityFor further information regarding this role please contact Esme Lynch (Senior Recruitment Consultant – Search and Selection) on or email .
