A bit about us The Living Room is a primary health service.
The team works with people aged 18+ to provide free healthcare and support to improve the physical, mental, and social well-being of individuals who are experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness.
The only service of its kind in Melbourne, it focuses on the social determinants of health to look beyond disease or illness to see a person's overall situation.
Our multidisciplinary team works with individuals to identify goals and focus on harm minimisation, self-determination, and empowerment.
Our non-judgemental service strongly focuses on respect, client-centred care and harm prevention.
We work with clients on a personalised, tailored basis to address highly complex issues faced by people experiencing multiple and complex needs.
Youth Projects is an independent, registered charity that provides front-line support to young people and individuals experiencing disadvantage, unemployment, homelessness, and alcohol and other drug issues.
We recognise the complex and varying needs of the people we work with and go above and beyond, 365 days a year, to provide pathways out of poverty.

A bit about the role The After-Hours Outreach Service (AHOS) team, which sits within our Living Room service, utilises an assertive outreach model to assist adults with complex health needs who are primarily vulnerable, sleeping rough, living in insecure accommodation, or accessing services in Melbourne.
As one of our Outreach Enrolled Nurses, you will provide street-based health care to our clients and provide service referrals as needed.
You will start and end your shifts at The Living Room but will work across Melbourne CBD.
Shifts commence at 7pm and continue until 11pm.
Key Requirements:
Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA registration Experience and/or demonstrated commitment to working with homeless and marginalised populations experiencing psychiatric, medical and substance use conditions within a harm reduction model of care Now ... let's talk about you You are an engaging and empathic Enrolled Nurse with over 3 years of experience in mental health, ED, or Community Health.
You have experience working with people experiencing homelessness and marginalised populations with psychiatric, medical and substance use conditions within a harm reduction model of care.
You are strongly committed to the Social Model of health and trauma-informed care principles.
You love the thought of undertaking assertive outreach work with some of Melbourne's most vulnerable people.
Your passion for achieving health and well-being outcomes for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness is contagious.
