Today, BME has operations in 23 countries across 4 continents, assuring our clients of seamless service.Role Purpose:Reporting into the General Manager HR, this role aims to manage end-to-end HR generalist services to the Australia business, translating the overarching people strategy into an implementable HR plan and employee value proposition.
The successful candidate will provide business partnering to an organisation, and/or business unit on a broad range of HR policies, programs, and practices.Responsibilities:Employee Relations and Industrial RelationsAct as the primary advisor on employee relations and IR matters, ensuring compliance with Australian employment laws and Industry Awards.Manage workplace investigations, grievances, and disputes to achieve fair and efficient resolutions.Update and maintain policies and procedures in line with Fair Work requirements and create understanding and compliance with Group Policies and procedures.Review and update HR policies to ensure compliance with workplace laws and industry standards.HR Operations and ExcellenceManage payroll review and ensure employee records are maintained accurately and securely.Ensure proper documentation is retained for audits and workplace agreements.Manage the implementation of HR cost management programmes.Conduct pro-active site-related HR audits to ensure compliance with various HR processes, policies, and procedures.Manage the implementation of the division's learning & development programmes and, in partnership with line management, ensure the region has suitably qualified and skilled employees.Training and DevelopmentDevelop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities, supporting career growth and retention.Conduct training needs analyses to identify skill gaps and develop tailored solutions.Oversee onboarding programs to ensure new employees integrate seamlessly into the company.Create and maintain leadership development programs for supervisors and team leaders.Workforce Planning and RecruitmentCollaborate with managers to identify current and future workforce needs.Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process.Promote internal talent pipelines by supporting succession planning initiatives.Performance ManagementSupport managers in implementing performance review processes to drive accountability and productivity.Provide guidance on managing underperformance and implementing development plans.Support the implementation of change and organisational development and design initiatives.HR Projects and StrategyPartner with leadership to align HR strategies with business goals.Lead and support ad hoc HR projects.Provide key metrics and reports to inform decision-making at the leadership level.Manage the implementation of organisational diagnosis and development initiatives to ensure continuous and optimal HR service.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related discipline.Post Graduate qualifications highly regarded.5+ years' demonstrated experience in Human Resources in a mining and/or manufacturing environment.5+ years' experience in the application of Australian workplace legislation and modern industry awards.
