Clough is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Procurement Specialist to join the Bidding Energy & Resources Team in Sydney In this role, you will be responsible for driving our bid phase procurement processes and ensuring technical excellence while delivering the basis for successful proposals within budget and timeline constraints.As an experienced Technical Procurement professional, you will coordinate and plan the procurement process during the proposal phase of a broad range of Energy and Resources projects.The role will involve developing a comprehensive Make or Buy Strategy and ensuring seamless cross-coordination among the various functions involved in the RFQ (Request for Quotation) process.Your goal is to achieve technically and economically robust outputs for our tenders and proposals.Who we areWe are a pioneering project delivery company that harnesses our people's innovative thinking through engineering and construction solutions that deliver a sustainable future today.We deliver high-performing assets for the energy, resources, and infrastructure industries underpinned by a dedication to innovation, sustainability, and getting the job done safely and efficiently.Our diverse workforce of over 1,000 people across Australia and Asia Pacific is committed to providing exceptional solutions that benefit our business, clients, and communities. Together with our parent company, Webuild, we are delivering some of Australia's largest projects.Who you areCourageous, innovative, passionate, and creative—these are just a few words that describe you.Your focus will include:Reporting during the bid study to the Bid Director, you will be responsible for:Working together with the Bid Director and the SteerCo to develop a make or buy execution strategy (Works Self-Performed and Subcontracted).Coordinating the preparation of packages to go to market, with input from Construction (methods, planning), Design, estimating (BOQs in line with the estimate structure), and Plant & Equipment inputs.Coordinating with the Procurement Manager and submitting the Work Packages to Vendors.Offering clarifications to suppliers after the issuance of the RFQs and assessing the compliance of the offers once they are received, with the support of the relevant departments.Following the technical alignment of the offers by consulting the team where needed and communicating to the Procurement team the technical validation of the offers received.Supporting the Estimating Team with deplugging the selected offers, upon Procurement Team's recommendations.Minimum QualificationsMinimum 5+ years of experience in the delivery of energy, resources, or similar construction projects.Proficiency in project management tools and software.Capable of hands-on management of major equipment packages.Demonstrated understanding of commercial terms and conditions and ability to negotiate same.Our benefitsWe have created an environment that brings out the best in our people.
