Victorian Centre for Mental Health is a private day hospital.
We are dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services to our community.
Our team of professionals is committed to fostering a patient-centred environment that emphasizes quality care and operational excellence.
As we grow, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Practice Manager with clinical experience to join our dynamic team.
Our team consist of three Child and adolescent psychiatrists, five Adult Psychiatrists, one older age psychiatrist, one paediatrician, eight psychologists, nurses and the administration team.
We also have students who come to us for placement.
Our service offerings include psychiatrist clinics, individual as well as group psychological therapy, ADHD and Autism assessments and repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
Position Overview: As the Day Hospital Manager, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our practice.
You will oversee administrative functions while leveraging your clinical background to ensure a seamless patient experience.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare operations, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for improving patient care.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage the daily operations of the practice, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Supervise and mentor staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional development.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize patient care and streamline processes.
- Implement and maintain policies and procedures in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Monitor patient satisfaction and address concerns to improve service delivery.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, including insurance providers and healthcare partners.
- Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives to enhance practice growth.
- Co- Facilitate and or Facilitate group therapy when required
- Complete Intake assessments for group patients when required
Desired Qualifications: - Minimum of two years' experience in a management role within a clinical setting.
- Strong clinical background.
Example: Registered Mental Health Nurse.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in practice management software and electronic health records (EHR).
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards i.e : NSQHSS Standards
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and handle multiple priorities.
- Current AHPRA registration
