About the Role We are seeking a General Manager - Key Accounts in our guarding department to lead and optimize service delivery for our assigned client portfolio.
This role is pivotal in managing operations efficiently to meet service and profitability objectives.
You will initiate the acquisition and integration of new business, coordinate new client transitions, and implement strategies that drive client satisfaction.
Additionally, you will coach, train, and develop field managers and supervisors while promoting initiatives that enhance both client and employee retention.
Key Result Areas
Administration and Reporting : Oversee client and employee Net Promoter Scores, ensuring high service quality.
Site Inspections : Conduct regular site evaluations to maintain operational standards.
Incident Management : Address and resolve operational incidents swiftly and effectively.
People Management : Foster a motivated workforce through effective leadership and support.
Key Accountabilities
Top-down Leadership : Implement the group's national vision within your area.
Bottom-up Insight : Identify opportunities and challenges within the operations.
Transformation Role : Facilitate the transition from traditional guarding to innovative Securitas Solutions.
Client Retention Monitoring : Track client turnover and implement retention strategies.
Sales Generation : Stimulate operational sales to enhance profitability.
Budget Management : Oversee investments and manage the budget for operational efficiency.
Data Analysis : Investigate data to identify critical insights and address operational challenges.
Resource Planning : Determine and allocate necessary resources and manpower.
Adaptability : Adjust plans to meet practical emergencies and changing circumstances.
Employee Well-being : Balance employee welfare with productivity goals.
Team Cohesion : Promote a constructive team spirit and improve collaboration.
Commitment Building : Engage with team members to foster commitment and morale.
Performance Management : Handle performance issues and enforce disciplinary procedures as needed.
Union Relations : Maintain positive relationships with unions and associations.
Quality Improvement : Lead initiatives to enhance service quality and communication.
Project Management : Oversee projects, ensuring they stay on budget and meet timelines.
Client Meetings : Attend client meetings to foster strong partnerships.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Communication Skills : Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, staff, and management.
Security Operations Knowledge : Solid working knowledge of security operations, ensuring compliance and effectiveness.
Report Writing : Proven experience in report writing, with a strong attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
Confidentiality : High level of confidentiality, maintaining discretion in sensitive situations.
Pressure Management : Ability to work well under pressure, demonstrating resilience in challenging circumstances.
Problem-Solving : Strong problem-solving skills, capable of addressing issues proactively and efficiently.
Computer Literacy : Excellent computer literacy, with proficiency in relevant software and technologies.
Stress Management : Effective stress management techniques, ensuring a calm and productive work environment.
Driver's License : Valid driver's license, with the ability to travel as required.
Management Experience : Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated management experience in a relevant field.
Desirable Qualifications :
Completed tertiary degree (preferably in management, security, or sales/marketing).
Experience with financial statements and budgets, including reconciliation of income and expenses.
Familiarity with security technology and solutions.
